From Cevanne Horrocks-Hopayian's Native American-inspired contemporary piece to the thrilling power of a György Orbán mass to the intimate sweetness of an Eric Whitacre love song, it takes a special kind of musician—or, in this case five—to tackle the challenging and varied program put together by Melodia Artistic Director Cynthia Powell for Where Shadow Chases Light this fall season.
That's why Melodia is absolutely thrilled to have instrumentalists Katie Hyun (violin), Caroline Drexler (violin), Gizem Yücel (viola), and Andrea Lee (cello) joining us on stage, along with our longtime collaborator Taisiya Pushkar on piano.
""We're really excited to have such fantastic instrumentalists,"" said Jenny Clarke, Melodia Cofounder and Executive Director, ""rehearsals have been going great, and audiences are in for something really remarkable this season.""
Come meet and, better yet, hear the talented group of musicians sharing the stage with Melodia this season. See you in two weeks!
