Put A Woman on a Pedestal Festival Includes a Monologue by Cheryl Davis '83

Six playwrights will depict their choices of statue-worthy women in StatueFest Three on Friday, May 21 at 7 pm EDT in a series of monologues. The readings, on Zoom, are part of a series to Put A Woman On A Pedestal. This presentation will include a monologue by Cheryl L. Davis '83 about Zora Neale Hurston (Barnard '28). Deborah Savadge (Spouse '69, Parent '01 and '06) has written a monologue about FDR's Secretary of Labor, Frances Perkins, and the other four monologues are actress Stella Adler (by D. Lee Miller), photographer Alice Austen (by Fengar Gael), activist Yuri Kochiyama (by Christine Toy Johnson) and women of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory (by Barbara Kahn).
