(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) Artist-in-Residence, Princeton-based photographer Robin Resch, will present open-air artist talks in Dohm Alley on Taking Pause, her collaborative portrait project that asks people to reflect on what in their lives feels most essential. Resch will delve into the making of her project and how she was able to retrieve these recent thought-provoking portraits and insights in the midst of a global pandemic. The talks will take place on Thursday evenings, September 9 and 23rd, at 5:30pm.
Taking Pause is an ongoing documentary portrait project that asks people to reflect on what in their lives feels most essential. With what do we identify and connect most deeply? What truly matters to us and why? Each portrait is a photographic triptych that displays a participant, what he or she shared as being irreplaceable, and his or her written story behind this choice. The portrait sets, displayed as an outdoor installation of photographic banners, will be on display in Dohm Alley through October 16, 2021. Lit in the evening, this public art installation is free and available to all both day and night.
