Join us for a powerful discussion about how cults recruit and indoctrinate members, and what it takes to break away, during a fireside chat with Cecilia Peck and Hoyt Richards, in conversation with Wendy Gerber.
Cecilia will discuss SEDUCED: Inside the NXIVM Cult, her compelling STARZ documentary series about one woman’s journey through the dark and criminal world of the notorious self-help group turned sex-slave cult, NXIVM. We’ll watch the SEDUCED trailer and discuss 4-5 clips illustrating the power and coercive control of cults. We'll also hear from Hoyt Richards about his twenty-year journey as a supermodel and former member of the Eternal Values religious cult and his subsequent escape and recovery, as well as his book and docuseries in development chronicling his double life.
The program is sponsored by the Princeton Club of NY and co-sponsored by Princeton Association of NYC, Princeton Arts Alumni, Princeton Club of Southern California, and Princeton in Hollywood.
