"Z: The Beginning of Everything":
A Conversation with Co-Creator Nicole Yorkin about her hit Amazon series based on the lives of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald
The series "Z" is based on Therese Anne Fowler’s book “Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald” and is a fictionalized version of the Fitzgeralds’ lives. This fireside chat between Nicole Yorkin, Co-Creator of the series, and Wendy Gerber will explore how Nicole and her producing partner brought the story of Zelda and Scott to the screen on Amazon and how much of the show is a factual biography of two of the liveliest, most flamboyant and creative literary figures of the 1920s “Flapper” period.
And of course we’ll show clips from the series as well as discussing F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Princeton connection. We'll also hear from Nicole about her new Netflix show currently in production, and what it's like to produce television shows during a pandemic.

Bios:
Nicole Yorkin ( with partner Dawn Prestwich) is the co-creator/Showrunner for the new Netflix series, "Hit & Run." (2021) Other projects include "3/5s” (also for Netflix), and "Z" for Amazon. Nicole and Dawn were previously writers/executive producers on all four seasons of AMC/Netflix's "The Killing." Other credits over a 30 year career include stints as writers/co-executive producers on Showtime’s “Brotherhood” (2006 Peabody Award), HBO’s “Carnivale” and CBS’ “Chicago Hope.” In 2003, they won a Writers Guild Award for their drama pilot, “The Education of Max Bickford.” As a journalist, Nicole was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for her series of articles about a 12-year-old prostitute.
