Bio

Lesley Currier is the Managing Director and co-founder of Marin Shakespeare Company, and founder of Shakespeare for Social Justice, the largest provider of Shakespeare in prison programs in the world. She is an actor, director, educator, and writer. Lesley is Past President of the Shakespeare Theatre Association, was elected to the Marin Women's Hall of Fame, and is the recipient of the Burbage Award for excellence in Shakespeare production from the American Shakespeare Center. Lesley received the Frances LeMoyne Page Theatre Prize from Princeton University in 1984.
