Ilana Lucas '07 Elected VP of the Canadian Theatre Critics' Association

Ilana Lucas ’07 was recently elected Vice President of the Canadian Theatre Critics’ Association (CTCA), a national association of professional critics, entertainment writers and journalists from electronic, broadcast and print media. The CTCA grew out of the Toronto Drama Bench, and was federally incorporated in 1981. It is a member of the International Association of Theatre Critics under UNESCO. Devoted to the promotion of excellence in theatre criticism, awareness of Canadian theatre, and opportunities in training for emerging theatre critics, it confers The Nathan Cohen Award for excellence in theatre criticism, and the Herbert Whittaker Award for distinguished contribution to Canadian theatre. Ilana is currently a Senior Writer for Toronto-based Mooney on Theatre.
