Exciting news to share with fellow alumni!

My book Forgotten Founders, which shines a spotlight on the overlooked contributions of women and people of color during the American Revolution, has been selected by McGraw Hill for its literacy program. It was also recently honored with the prestigious Gold Award by the Junior Library Guild.

Additionally, my book The True West, which explores the rich diversity of the American Frontier, was recognized as a notable social studies book by the Children’s Book Council. I’m currently collaborating with two-time Grammy winner Dom Flemons (The American Songster) to develop a series based on this book, which we’re pitching to platforms like the Smithsonian Channel.

In May, I’m thrilled to release a new book, ART. AN INTERACTIVE GUIDE, a beautiful exploration of art history aimed at children aged 8–14 but engaging for all ages. During reunions, I’ll be presenting at the Lewis Arts Center based on this book, and I hope to see many of you there!

Lastly, DAD. THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND, a humorous and heartfelt tribute to fatherhood, made the cover of Publisher’s Weekly. It has since been translated into multiple languages, including Polish, Turkish, French, Spanish, and Italian.

I’m grateful for the chance to share these projects and excited for what’s ahead!
