If I Were a Tiger

If I Were a Tiger is Caroline Coleman's debut picture book, released a month ago by an imprint of Penguin Random House--just in time for holiday shopping for the 3-7 year olds in your life. It tells the story of a boy who is afraid of everything. He decides that becoming a tiger will solve all his problems. When he realizes that people would be afraid of him, he takes off the costume and asks God for help instead. The book is accessible to all faiths that believe in God and reminds everyone that they are huggable and lovable – even if they sometimes roar!

Caroline teaches English literature as an adjunct professor at Hunter College in New York City. She has worked as a consultant to the legal department at Morgan Stanley, a litigation associate at the law firm of Davis Polk and Wardwell and as a law clerk in the Southern District of New York. She has a JD from Columbia Law School, an MA in Jurisprudence from Christ Church, Oxford, an English degree from Princeton and an MFA in fiction from Brooklyn College. Her first novel, Loving Soren, told the true story of the woman who loved Soren Kierkegaard.
