At Princeton, Elizabeth Schwall (Class of '09) wrote a junior paper and senior thesis that formed the foundation for her forthcoming book, Dancing with the Revolution: Power, Politics, and Privilege in Cuba. It will be released on May 10th! It examines how dancers asserted control over their bodies and careers and intervened in public discussions about revolutionary politics, race, gender, and sexuality in twentieth-century Cuba.
